Here, the client wanted to transform their small courtyard in central Bristol into a luscious, green oasis which would be perfect for evening entertainment and morning coffee. I chose to work with their three existing tree's (a Magnolia, a Musa basjoo & a Rhus typhina) to add height, structure and interest, with naturalistic perennial planting through the rest of the border with a focus on plants that hold their structure through winter.
